Shed Kit Assembly
We sell and build hundreds of cedar garden shed kits every year. Nobody knows these products like we do. As a result, we can offer more information, tips, help, and ideas on how to build and install your new garden shed than any other internet retailer.
Here is the livingoutfitters.com staff building a 9x6 Cabana Cedar Shed
To start, be sure to visit our Foundation page. After you have that part taken care of, you are ready to build! To complete most of our shed kits you only need 3 basic tools: a hammer, a ladder, and an electric screw gun. After years of building cedar garden shed kits, we've built a tool box of other tools that we use quite often. Those items, while not necessary, have helped us out plenty of times...
- carpenter's level
- tape measure
- nail bag
- box cutter blade
- tin snips
- rubber mallet
- circular saw
- air compressor with neumatic brad nailer for trim
- cats claw pry bar
You probably won't need any of these tools to build your garden shed, but we tend to use them to make the job go faster.
Most of these sheds can be built by one person, but you will benefit greatly from the aid of a helper.

All of the shed kits that we sell can be built in less than one day, but there is no harm in spending extra time fooling around and figuring out what goes where.
The most important part is to HAVE FUN!
