Easy Setup:
The 4' by 2' Garden Chalet is shipped in knockdown panels that only need to be screwed together. Most parents will have it assembled in one afternoon. It can be built on a variety of foundations. The shed comes unfinished, but can be painted, stained, or left to weather naturally. All the necessary instructions, hardware, screws, hinges and instructions to complete the assembly are included.

Expert Advice:
The 4' by 2' Cedar Garden Chalet comes unfinished, but can be painted, stained, or left to weather naturally, depending on your preference. If left to weather naturally, wood becomes a neutral gray tone over time. Semi solid decking/siding stains will preserve grain tone and protect against gray fade. Stains are absorbed by the wood so there is no surface flaking, and they can be chosen in a wide range of colors to match other structures. This cedar shed can be built on a variety of foundations.

Shipping:
The 4' by 2' Garden Chalet arrives at your house via motor freight on a pallet in a paneled kit form. You will need to be home at the time of delivery (during business hours).

This isn't easy to erect. There are a zillion pieces, there is a 19-page instruction manual and 43 steps to complete. Some of the pieces require such accuracy of placement that if you miss by 1/8 inch it puts the placement of other pieces off. Also, though this is the perfect shed to place against a wall, you can't construct it in its final position because you need to be able to get behind it in the process of putting it together. Therefore, you have to have several very strong people available to move it into situ AFTER it's completed as it is very heavy and awkward to move. And then you have to level it again.... The shed itself is nice, once you've managed all of the above, and the cedar smells lovely.

Great shed. Put it together in about 4 hours as a "project" with my 9 y/o daughter -- great fun. Lots of steps, sure, but instructions were clear and concise. I found tolerances to be quite generous. Looks and works great. (moved it into final location on my own -- not onerously heavy)

I am very happy with this shed. The assembly by a licensed contractor took about 6 hours. He placed the shed on some concrete blocks that were half-buried to allow for air circulation under the shed. He also attached it to the fence using a board at the back attached to the fence to secure the shed. He was also short of some of the black screws for the handles, so you may want to include a few more in your kits in future. I stained the shed with Preserv-A-Wood "sequoia" to match the fence and it looks very custom! The contractor commented on how well made this shed was and how sturdy it was and it has already been put to good use! This shed is perfect for the very small space I had available in the side yard and is perfect for storage
